Bring Unforgettable Events to Life
At ILLUME, we don’t just set up events; we transform spaces. We are a premier lighting and event design company that creates unforgettable experiences, and our Events Team is the hands-on force that brings our creative visions to life.
We are looking for dedicated, energetic, and detail-oriented individuals to join our seasonal crew. In this role, you aren’t just staff—you are an essential part of the magic. You’ll travel to the region’s top venues and play a critical role in building and striking high-end lighting, custom draping, and luxury décor.
What You’ll Do
- Execute the Vision: Read and interpret event paperwork, floor plans, and design renderings to ensure every detail is executed flawlessly on-site.
- Install & Strike: Masterfully set up and tear down our signature lighting, custom draping, and event décor.
- Logistics & Transport: Safely operate company-provided vehicles to deliver equipment to and from venues. You will be responsible for loading and unloading with care to protect our high-end inventory.
- Be a Safety Champion: Follow all safety guidelines, especially when working with tools, on ladders, or operating an aerial work platform.
- Collaborate & Represent: Work closely with the design team and leadership, acting as a professional, polished on-site representative of the ILLUME brand.
- The Flawless Finish: Ensure every venue is left pristine, handling final sweeps and debris removal so the only thing left behind is a beautiful event.
What We’re Looking For
- A “Can-Do” Attitude: You thrive in a fast-paced team environment and can intelligently multitask when demands compete for your attention.
- A Problem-Solver: You have excellent communication skills and can work collaboratively to find solutions in the moment.
- Tool & Tech Savvy: You are comfortable and capable with basic tools (hammer, screwdriver, hand drill, tape measure) and equipment (dollies, lifts, ladders).
- A Head for Heights: You must be comfortable and safe working at heights up to 30 feet from ladders, scaffolding, or an aerial work platform.
- The Non-Negotiables: You must be 21 or older, have a valid Driver’s License, and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Language: Ability to understand, read, and speak English.
The Reality of the Role (Physical Demands)
This is a high-motion, physically active position where “go-time” means everything.
- You will be on your feet for prolonged periods and must have the stamina for long event days.
- You must be able to repeatedly lift and carry 20-50 pounds.
- Work happens indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions, and occasionally in non-climate-controlled spaces.
- The schedule is variable and requires flexibility; evenings and weekends are standard in the event industry.
- The role involves constant movement, walking, bending, and maneuvering objects of varying dimensions and weights.
